Last Quarter I made you post about some of the goals you wanted to set for yourself. We've been in the classroom for half a year now. I want you to access the goals you set for yourself. Have you achieved them? If they were more long term - have you made the appropriate steps to reach those goals? After you access your goals, I want you to do the following: Think about and list 2-3 subjects / interests you would like to major at college Think about and list 2-3 colleges you are interested in  the goals i have achieved is math my grade when up and i practiced playing the trumpet in band 2 major subjects i would want to take in college is science, history  the colleges i want to go to is st john, syracuse, and duke.
More Research!!!! 1) Choose the topic you are most passionate for 2) List foundation work/texts you plan on using for your project (these texts should be "old" as in foundation to the civilization / culture you are studying) 3)  Research and list modern texts from the same culture / civilization 4) Using the question activity we did in class, generate a list of questions you will use for your research and reading. 1) i chose the literature of Italy  2) the tart of Italy is in Rome in the time 27 BC. 3) modern text from the roman empire is it was the largest city in the world from 100 BC through the 400 AD 4)  1. what was the laws in the roman empire back then. 2.who created the language.  3.why did the roman empire language get constructed.
the story spine that we saw in class relates to what we have been doing in in class because it can relate to the hero's journey which is the steps to a historical story its similar to the cycle of a hero's story.
For this blog post, I want you to compare the character traits of Gilgamesh and Enkidu. How are they alike, how are they different? gilgamesh and enkidu are alike because they are both powerful and mighty gods who are hard to defeat. they are different because gilgamesh is a handsome god but enkidu looks look like a monster.
who do you blame for enkidu's death? I blame the gods because the gods said one of them has to die "let it be enkidu" then he began to waste away. that's why i blame his death on the gods because the gods are the one who made the choice to let him die.
For this blog post I want you to think of 2-3 civilizations / cultures whose literature you would want to research (e.g. Polish, Vietnamese, Irish, French, Sudanese, etc.) After you have your 2-3, I want you to pick the one you are most interested in, and explain to me why. 1.  french 2. Irish 3. Polish  the culture i'm most interested in is french because i always wanted to go to Paris and i also like their accent and i know a lot of people who went their and they said its really nice their.
1) At least 3 strengths you have (try to make at least one of them an academic strength). 2) At least 3 major or long terms goals you have (e.g. to become a lawyer). 3) At least 3 areas or skills you want to improve on (try to make one of them an academic skill e.g. "handing in work on time.") Then under the same post, respond to: How do you plan on achieving these goals, and working on these skills? What's in your way from achieving these goals? How can you be cleared of this obstacle? 1) my strengths are band, art, reading. 2) my major goals in life is becoming a lawyer, become a police officer. 3) i want to improve on my introductions, math, homework on time I plan on achieving these goals by going to college and doing as many years as it takes and work hard
